Few days back, I was listening to one of the myriad “Tell-me-your-problems-and-we’ll play-you-a-song” shows that were aired in the FM. The following verse, suddenly hit ma ears. Well!! It didn’t make the show any different, but it did leave me thinking. It goes like this:
“IF HUMANS ARE GIVEN THE POWER TO FORESEE FUTURE, THEY’LL STILL BEHAVE THE WAY THEY WANT TO”
A smile spread across my face – A smile that could be interpreted as ‘Very true!!’ Life is definitely not what we want it to be. As a matter of fact, Most of the times, it’s diametrically opposite. To reflect on that verse, I strongly feel that it shows how much man believes he’s right and that ONLY he’s right. But HOLD IT, HOLD IT! I take a different stand on this issue, in the sense that, thou’ this verse is a bit satirical and true(I hate to accept it thou’), there’s nothing wrong about this attitude.
Let’s see!! To err is human, agreed; to believe that it’s not entirely your fault is even more human, right??? Why on earth should one not stick to what one firmly believes? Most of the times, you get one dumb answer and it’s some or the other version of this: “Because, the majority of the world out there has a different opinion”. 10000 fools!
No more arguments. Lez get into a real life scenario. You made a decision on some issue, acted in accordance to what your mind (Heart doers can replace ‘mind’ with ‘heart’. No offenses meant and no offenses taken, either) told you to, and unfortunately, it’s all screwed up at the end. SO WHAT? It’s entirely a result of what you decided and did. You were your own boss and wotz so wrong about it? Only that it didn’t turn out to be what you wanted it to be. Arey yaar, It’s juz your tough luck that it’s all screwed up at the end.
Remember, the impact of others’ decision leading to your failure or personal loss is far more grievous, than your own decision leading to a sorrow or wodevah. In the former case, you otta digest de fact that, it’s not your mistake that you landed in the wrong end, in the first place. On the same scale, the impact of your own decision leading to your happiness/success is far more pleasant than others’ decision leading to the same! (I know, most of you will impromptuously deny it. But think!! There must ve been a difference!! Still say no!! Okiez, *P*E*A*C*E*)
If you wanna argue that “We must listen to others’ advice too”, I’m coming to that. My point is: listen to everyone’s suggestions, scrutinize them and then comes the vital part, don’t let others make the decision for you. Be your own boss!! And if you fall, juz get up and walk more carefully. Being a boss in itself is not as easy as it sounds to be; Being your own boss is no easier! But, that is the only way to lead, what is called, YOUR life
