- Mr. A: (While inviting a class for a function in some college) N yeah… Galz can also take part in organisin events too. DON’T SIT LIKE DOLLS IN SAREES, AS USUAL.
- Mr. B: (While answerin someone regardin his kind of gal in a tête-à-tête) I DON’T WANNA MARRY AN EDUCATED GAL, COZ I WOULD LIKE TO LEAD A PEACEFUL LIFE. So, definitely not a gal wid high intellect!!!
- Ms. C: (While ‘exclaiming’ someone’s successful career) HE ACHIEVED SO MUCH COZ HE’S A GUY (or put any other adjective you feel is apt). You can’t achieve so much and even if you do, they won’t accredit you (She meant women and it was very obvious) so much. [Phew!! Too much of ‘so much']
- Mr. D: (You hear this almost everywhere, I bet) (S)HE SUCCEEDED DESPITE BEING PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED (or poor or blah blah blah)
Mr. A has a point when he said that galz can contribute their fair share to something (Wow!! Thanks for that offer, Mr. A!). Only that it has been put forth to the class in the nastiest possible manner! May be, Mr. A intentionally forgot one point – Not all galz would love to sit like dumb, useless dolls.
N as for Mr. B, aaahhhh, You are yet another hopeless prat!!
Ms. C’s comments might make some sense too. That I don’t know. But still, I feel once you put your mind n heart into whatever you want to achieve, you’ll get it sooner or later!! My point is one’s gender/any such diversity doesn’t make a crucial difference in one’s achievements, at least not always.
The same thing applies to Mr. D too. Only that, the physically challenged fella would find it hard to approve it.
N I found only 3 things are common to all these comments:
- A, B, C and D are city bred and are in their early twenties. They are obviously a part of Today’s youth who are supposedly open-minded and stuff like that!!
- They are all in THE best colleges of the state, n constitute the so called ‘cream of the society’. ((Sadly, Education influences ONLY your knowledge, nothing more nothing less and in particular, not your mindset))
- And the obvious one – the comments made by A, B, C and D are BULLSHIT!! N it is hightime someone told em this:
“RESPECT (OR HURT) PEOPLE FOR THEIR INDIVIDUAL TRAITS, NOT BECAUSE THE SOCIETY CALLS THEM THE WAY YOU LIKE (OR LOATHE).”
